Will Doss
Executive Pastor

Will moved to Griffin with his family after living in the Chicago area for his first twelve years of his life. He managed the Racquethause Health Club while he finished Griffin Christian Academy, Graduated from Gordon College with a business degree and started a family.

Ordained in 1992, Will was Youth Pastor for twelve years at EWC. From 2003 to 2008 Will was part time Associate Pastor at EWC and Executive Director of The Spalding Collaborative Authority for Families and Children Inc. This life education has prepared him for his current position as Executive Pastor at EWC.

Will married his lovely wife Jennifer in 1988 and together they have three children: Paul, Elizabeth and Luke.

Dusty Takle
Associate Pastor

Growing up a pastor’s kid, Dusty has served in ministry in some capacity most of her
adult life. She graduated from Georgia State University in 1995 with B.S. in History and
attended graduate school at Mercer University where she became certified to teach.
She taught middle school for four years before dedicating her time to serving EWC and
being a mother.

In 2011, Dusty was ordained by the Presbytery of EWC and currently
serves as an associate pastor and personal assistant to her father, Senior Pastor Buren
Goss. She is also a contributing writer to The Grip, a local, independent newspaper.
Dusty lives with her husband, Kris, and three children, John Henry, Anna, and Jett.

 

Buren Goss
Senior Pastor

burenBuren is the Senior Pastor of Eagles Way Church and known for his positive and inspiring teaching. He and his wife, Barbara, live in Griffin, Georgia where Eagles Way Church began in 1964. They have one daughter, Dusty Takle, who lives with her husband, Kris, and three children, John Henry, Anna, and Jett.

He became Senior Pastor of Eagles Way Church, in 1976. Under Buren’s leadership, EWC has ministered to hundreds of people seeking Christ. The church has actively supported mission outreach programs in the community and around the world to reach the lost and hurting and herald a message of faith, hope, and love.

Buren’s passion to love people is the driving force behind his down-to-earth teaching that is reaching people each week. He is visionary, a gifted communicator, a family man, and committed to Christ. Besides loving people and shepherding the church, Buren enjoys golfing, grilling, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Joey Grubbs
Youth Pastor

Joey considers Griffin home. He’s been here since 1973 when his father retired. Joey worked for Delta airlines for 36 years and retired in 2014. He started Mojo Training and Coaching as a ministry where he is a personal trainer and life coach. He has a passion for helping and loving people and he has the gift of encouragement. His life coaching covers career choices, fundamentals of relationships and finances. He also completed Elijah House Biblical Counseling courses as well as Theophostic Prayer Ministry courses. Joey was ordained in 2014 by Pastor Buren Goss.  He and his wife Kitty have five grown children with two grandkids and another on the way. He’s started serving as EWC youth minister in 2018.

 

Keith Wesley
Associate Pastor

keithKeith Wesley was born and reared in Spalding County. Upon graduation from Griffin High School, he attended the University of Georgia and the University of Tennessee where he received an Associate, BSA, MS and PhD in Plant and Soil Science. He worked for the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service as a Forage and Feed Grain Specialist.

In 1979, he returned to Griffin to join his father and brother at Wesley Machinery, Inc. Keith joined the Eagles Way Church staff as the Administrative Pastor in 1986.  In 1997, he became an Associate Pastor taking on more pastoral duties. He remains passionate about loving people and serving EWC as a shepherding pastor.
